How it all started
I was inspired to create Quizalize when I noticed that my son was falling behind at school. His overworked teachers were unable to provide him, and other students like him, with the personalized help he needed to catch up and get back on track.
I brought together a small but passionate team, and together we built Quizalize – an application that would give teachers the superpowers to personalize their teaching to every student.
It has been an incredible journey so far, but the highlight will always be hearing the impact that Quizalize has on both teachers and students.
I will always remember a science teacher from Texas saying, “Thank you for making my job fun again.” She didn’t just mean that Quizalize was a fun experience for students – she meant that she felt more fulfilled as a teacher as a result of being able to help students succeed who had previously been failing.
6 years later Quizalize has been used by over 200,000 teachers in 170 countries and has impacted the learning of 5 million students. I could not be more proud of what my team and our community of passionate teachers have achieved.
We are only just getting started. In my next update I’ll be telling you all about the future of Quizalize and some of the exciting new features we will be adding over the next 12-18 months.
