We were thrilled to be invited to pitch at Xoogler Demo Day at the Google HQ in London, UK, to a room full of present and former Googlers and their investor community. The event was a huge opportunity for Zzish to showcase our innovative learning platform to a prestigious audience.
Charles Wiles, Zzish’s CEO, and a former Google Product Manager took the stage to share how teachers around the globe use our data-driven formative assessment platform Quizalize to personalize their teaching to every student. He also premiered Blockerzz, our latest Minecraft-inspired Quizalize Game which is going viral across the student community!
Charles also discussed the gamified learning market. This market is growing 23% annually and is expected to reach $15.8b by 2025, a subset of the $450b EdTech market. With our groundbreaking new classroom game engine, Zzish is at the forefront of this revolution in education.
Indeed, our latest Minecraft-inspired game, Blockerzz, is the first 3D block world game engine that runs instantly in the browser on any student device. In less than a month after its launch, the game is going viral across the student community, and the teacher feedback has been amazing. We will continue to invest in this amazing opportunity to transform the teacher and student experience inside the classroom.
Charles also impressed the Google crowd with strong performance numbers for our core platform Quizalize, which saw a huge increase in activity across the globe last year. Usage of the software doubled, with students answering an incredible 202m questions on our platform in 2022. These numbers sit amongst many recent metrics that testify to Quizalize’s continued product excellence, delivering insights that allow teachers to effortlessly personalize their teaching.
Daisy, our co-founder and co-CEO, joined Charles to talk about our team of passionate experts committed to fulfilling our super-ambitious plans to generate $76m of revenue for the business by 2028 and most importantly, transform the learning outcomes of 500m students.
This is an exciting time for Zzish and we are poised to scale: we’re kicking off a new equity funding round this month. With this investment, we will expand our sales and client success teams and continue to drive growth across the US and SEA whilst expanding our footprint in the Netherlands, the Nordics and Greece.
A huge thank you to Sal Mohammed, Chris Fong, and the Xoogler and Google for Startups teams for putting on a great event and inviting us along to pitch alongside some top-class tech ventures.
We are impacting learning outcomes for millions of students and operating in a $404bn and growing Edtech market. If you’re as excited as we are about this transformative opportunity and you’d like to get involved in the round, connect with Daisy or Charles and drop us a message. We’d love to hear from you.
