Teacher Appreciation: Mohammed Abo Hassan (Bahrain)

Teacher Appreciation: Introducing Mohammed Abo Hassan!

I’m Mohammed Abo Hassan, a senior teacher of English in Bahrain. I am an MIE Expert, a Master Trainer, and an MIE Fellow. I am a Minecraft Global Mentor and a Global Learning Mentor. I have been teaching for 18 years in intermediate schools. I always try to create an environment of innovation in education using technology.

My motto is “empower every voice everywhere“, which means that I LOVE to share the joy of learning with Quizalize with everyone everywhere to make learning more engaging, interactive, awesome, and fun.

Mohammed is one of our Teacher Ambassadors and teaches English in The Kingdom of Bahrain. His love for and competence in Quizalize is second-to-none, and he has kindly shared two ways in which he uses Quizalize in his classroom:

Game-Based Learning Part 1 – Unlock the power of creativity through Quizalize:

I have adopted a Games-Based Learning approach in my lessons using Quizalize as it helps educators facilitate distance learning and make it impactful as a classroom experience. It is a gamified formative assessment application that provides a fun and engaging way for teachers to collect real-time data on student progress and easily personalize learning. It makes it fun to learn any subject, in any language, on any device, for all ages. I can easily create, share, and play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes. Also, I can facilitate a quiz session by playing Quizalize via video conferencing with students, families, friends, and teachers located anywhere such as Google Hangouts, Skype, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.

Game-Based Learning Part 2 – Take your students’ engagement to the next level:

I like Quizalize as it’s one of the best quiz platforms for remote or face-to-face classrooms. It can best help me take the pulse of my class to find out how they are doing. It makes our learning environment more interactive, engaging, comprehensive, flexible, awesome, and fun. I can play, create, host Quizalize games or give as homework to my students who play it at their own pace. This is a good way for content review, particularly before tests.

Also, Quizalize helps me increase my students’ engagement, participation, and attention in everyday lessons. The variety of question types helps activate different ways of thinking and helps my students develop their creative thinking. At the end of our lessons, I can get a detailed analysis for my students’ results.

In addition, I can search among millions of ready-to-play Quizalize games on any topic in minutes and assess my students’ learning outcomes with reports.

Thank you Mohammed for sharing your tips and advice with us – we are delighted to feature you in our Teacher Appreciation series!
