Who we are – Our mission
Quizalize, powered by Zzish, is a gamified, data-driven platform which gives teachers the superpowers to personalize their teaching. It harnesses the power of gamification and generative AI to help teachers engage classes, pinpoint learning gaps and deliver personalized content to address them instantly. The data is aggregated to provide valuable insights for schools and governments too. This amazing technology helps us to fulfil our mission is to make a difference to each and every student, bettering classroom learning and improving the future of education.
Our Co-Founder and Co-CEO Charles Wiles, founded Zzish to solve his son’s learning troubles after a family bereavement. Teachers struggled to provide the feedback and support he needed, so Charles invested his savings and tech expertise to build Edtech platform Zzish. He partnered with Daisy Hill, bringing commercial experience in high-growth startups, and together they lead a talented team of educators, engineers and Edtech entrepreneurs, aiming to transform education with technology.

Why should I invest?
This month, Quizalize has had it’s best month ever for teacher subscriptions. This has bucked the seasonal trend which normally sees September (back to school) and March (exam preparation) as the most significant months for teacher subscription revenue across the Edtech industry. We really are growing at a rapid rate, and so is the EdTech market. In 2020 the $404bn EdTech market accelerated by 5-10 years. In 2023 generative AI is amplifying this further, enabling teachers to create rich learning content in seconds. 1.) AI Quiz Creator
We use our own AI tool, powered by Chat GPT to help teachers create a quiz in seconds. You can simply enter your topic and our quiz creator will generate the questions for you. There are multiple ways of creating your quiz.

2.) Smart Quizzes
Smart Quizzes deliver a personalized and dynamic quiz experience to students, an experience designed to help them quickly master concepts they are struggling with and progress faster and further. Smart quiz features include…
- AI-powered question bank and quiz creator to help you create Smart Quizzes that include hints and explanations in seconds.
- Smart Questions that conversationally guide a student with hints and explanations during the quiz
- Mastery Mode replays questions that students answer incorrectly at the end of the quiz until they answer them correctly

3.) Detailed Reports
We pride ourselves in our detailed student reports and recently we’ve taken the opportunity to improve our student activity reports for quizzes where the quiz is tagged to learning objectives. Since it is now much easier for teachers to create quizzes tagged to learning objectives, we wanted to give them much better data too. The new reports make it much easier for teachers to see a breakdown of which students are struggling with which learning objectives.
The questions will be grouped by skill and the skills and mastery breakdown is now much neater, showing clear bar chart results. The ‘What they need help with’ section will allow you to analyze the results quickly and effectively, making assessing learning loss effortless.
4.) Blockerzz Gold Rush
You may have heard of our single player Minecraft inspired game, Blockerzz Arrow Quest, but our newest addition to the Blockerzz meta verse takes the classroom quiz game experience to the next level! In this multi-player game, all your students will play together in the same world, competing to collect the most coins. With this thrilling gameplay, Blockerzz Gold Rush is sure to engage and excite your students like never before!
5.) The Sorcerer
Our newest super fun solo player game where the aim is to destroy all the balls before they reach the end of the track. Students must answer your quiz questions whilst they play, creating an exciting and informative learning atmosphere.
